@GrandHighGamer Yeah and i’ve also considered games that only have half the personality and yet end up getting a higher score….I mean what was new and outstanding from mw2-3? If I were to review games, I would consider what other games have already done better etc. I guess reviewers nowadays have bias…

Unfortunately the market is so saturated with Shoot ‘em ups that a game like this will be buried. God forbid a game should make you think about its story, rather than screaming “Ramirez shoot that helicopter” at you every 30 seconds. Then again I think a better way of describing Dear Esther is an ‘interactive narrative’ rather than a video game.

@sebaswildboy sorry did I say “horribly”? I meant “horrendously”
… jk, just saying, looks depressing and unappealing, at least to me.

If only video games explored narrative like this one. A game with innovative gameplay combined with narrative storytelling like dear Esther would be nothing short of art.

$10 for a 2 hour stroll through a horribly depressing virtual world? No thanks…

LOL amazing game design that drives you forwards without ever making it obvious through subtle visual cues, beautiful prose, the most believable in-game world, yet ranks below CoD. Nice.

@Gamersean312
That is about the price of a film ticket. Doesn’t seem that steep to me.

I absolutely loved playing this, when i saw the trailer i bought it within minutes with no regret, if you dont consider yourself to have “eyes of steel” you might wanna replay the game a few times becuase you deffinetly miss things.

Is it just me or is this game incredibly similar to Amnesia: The Dark Descent ? Same narrator, I swear. I loved that game so I’m probably going to get this too.

This game’s concept really intrigues me, but 2 hours for $10 is a little steep for me, but when a sale starts on Steam for it, Ill definatly check it out.
